Storm Lake Schools Bond Vote Passes

Storm Lake residents have passed a bond vote, which will allow the Storm Lake Community School District to construct a new Early Elementary Building.

The bond issue had 61-percent approval, according to unofficial results. 60-percent was needed for passage. There were 1,052 “yes” votes, and 668 “no votes.”

With the bond issue passing, 14.98 million dollars in additional revenue will now become available for the district. The bond allows the district to move forward on the first of a three-phase project for an Early Elementary School in Storm Lake.
