Storm Lake Early Elementary Bond Vote is Today
September 10, 2019 5:58am
Today is the day for residents of the Storm Lake Community School District to vote on a bond issue for a new Early Elementary Building.
Storm Lake School's Superintendent Dr. Stacey Cole says the bond would take their bond ability up to $2.70, which is $1.63 per thousand dollar increase for all of the community members, which comes out to about 85 dollars a year on a $100,000 home.
60-percent approval is needed for the bond issue to pass. A previous bond issue for a new Early Elementary Building failed in December.
All voters must cast their ballots at the Buena Vista County Courthouse. Polls will be open from 7am to 8pm.
