SLPD Benjamin Arrest

A Storm Lake man was arrested after a Storm Lake Police Officer stopped a vehicle late Friday night in the 1200 block of Seneca Street for a traffic offense.
Upon contacting the driver, identified as 27-year-old Eddie Benjamin of Storm Lake, police allege he was intoxicated and took him into custody. During the traffic, stop police further learned that the registered owner of the vehicle Benjamin was driving allegedly did not give him permission to drive the vehicle.
Following an investigation, Storm Lake Police arrested Benjamin and charged him with Operating Without Owner’s Consent, an aggravated misdemeanor...and OWI, a serious misdemeanor. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a three-thousand dollar bond.
