July 12, 2019 11:06am
Charges were filed Thursday evening after Storm Lake Officers were called to 513 Lincoln Road for a report of a no-contact order violation.
Police made contact with a female at the residence, 39-year-old Araceli Gonzalez Jiminez of Storm Lake. She was listed as a defendant on a no-contact order barring her from being at the residence. Police were told by the victim that upon Gonzalez Jiminez coming into the residence they attempted to call police, at which time Gonzalez Jiminez took the phone from the victim to prevent them from calling.
Gonzalez Jiminez was taken into custody at the scene and charged with violation of a no-contact order, criminal trespass, and obstruction of emergency communications, all simple misdemeanors.
Gonzalez Jiminez was booked into the Buena Vista County jail and held without bond.
