July 11, 2019 11:05am
One person was sent to the hospital after a collision involving an SUV and a semi Wednesday evening in Webb.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says 22-year-old Austin Gray of Story City was driving a semi northbound and 72-year-old Dennis Anderson of Marathon was driving an SUV southbound. Anderson apparently lost consciousness and veered into the northbound lane, resulting in a head-on collision with the semi.
Anderson was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital for health concerns not related to the accident. No injuries were reported to Gray. There was ten-thousand dollars damage to the semi, eight-thousand dollars damage to the SUV.
