OA-BCIG Voters Approve Bond Issue
June 26, 2019 5:59am
Voters in the OA-BCIG school district Tuesday approved a 15.9 million dollar bond issue.
The vote was 925 “yes”, 485 “no”... or 65.5 percent approval. Sixty percent was needed for approval.
The 15.9-million dollars will be used for school building improvements... including updates to existing classrooms, a new 585-seat auditorium, and a secure entrance at the front of the high school.
A similar bond issue was held last December, but failed with only 59-percent-six percent approval, just eight votes short of the needed 60-percent.
