Jaci Hermstad Receives 2nd Dose Of Experimental Drug
June 26, 2019 11:22am
Jaci Hermstad... the Spencer woman with a rare form of ALS... has received a second dose of a drug developed for her.
Tuesday morning, the experimental drug was administered in New York City. The dose is double the amount given to her in the first dose on June 11th. She responded well to the first dose. Doctors hope it will stop and possibly reverse the effects of Lou Gehrig’s Disease or ALS.
Iowa Congressman Steve King... in remarks on Capitol Hill Tuesday... honored Jaci’s strength and hoped for the best for her during the remaining treatments. King introduced Jaci’s Bill earlier this year so the experimental treatment could get FDA approval.
