Snow In Forecast
January 19, 2016
A light snow event will be in store for a bulk of the area today.
The snow will decrease in both amounts and duration heading eastward into southwest Minnesota and extreme northwest Iowa. Snow amounts will generally be at or less than 2 inches. A few specifics are snow projections of about 2 inches at Sioux City, one inch in the Storm Lake area, and less than an inch in Spencer. Wind will not be a big concern with this evening, but the snowfall will be fluffy. If traveling, reduced visibilities are quite possible due to falling light snow and vehicles stirring the fluff up. The snow will be done across this area by 6 pm as it moves southeast tonight. Highs today will be in the upper single digits above zero to lower teens.
