Final Approval To SL Sewer Rate Hike
January 19, 2016
The final reading of a proposed three-percent hike in sewer rates was approved Monday afternoon by the Storm Lake city council.
This increase is expected to bring in an additional 120-thousand dollars in the first year. City manager Jim Patrick says the three-percent annual increase in sewer rates mirrors the projected annual three-percent increase in operational costs.
The increase will go into effect on July first.
