Classic Country and Pop Music
August 7 at 3:00pm
Enjoy an afternoon of classic country and pop music as four local singers take turns on the stage of the Fonda Arts Center on Sunday, August 7th beginning at 3:00 p.m. Daniel Keen is new to the Arts Centers Sunday afternoons, and will introduce himself with hits including Elton Johns Your Song and The Gambler made famous by Kenny Rogers in 1978. Randy Mobley will take on the 1977 Johnny Paycheck country hit Take This Job and Shove It, and take us back to the l950s with Hell Have To Go, as well as other memorable hits. Gloria Mobley will be doing what she does so well when she breaks out with Crazy, and Jeannie C. Rileys hit Harper Valley PTA. The Fonda Arts Center first became aware of Larry Heschke when Lyla Kuklenz told us he sings just like Neil Diamond. He does; and has been at the very core of the Arts Center ever since! Larry will bring us songs from Neil Diamond, Jim Croce, and other great artists. That completes the quartet of singers, all at the Fonda Arts Center on the northwest corner of Fourth and Main in Fonda. Everyone is welcome, and, as always, admission and refreshments are free. Donations are much appreciated!
