Planning for the future can be overwhelming, but it’s one of the most important steps a family can take. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is hosting an Estate and Succession Planning Workshop designed to help farm families and landowners take meaningful steps towards securing their legacy and planning for the future. This interactive workshop will guide participants through key topics, including: • Setting clear goals for estate and succession planning. • Communicating effectively with family and stakeholders. • Identifying common challenges and how to overcome them. • Taking inventory of assets and responsibilities. • Reviewing a real-life farm transition case study. The event will take place on Tuesday November 18 from 12-4 p.m. at the Buena Vista County Extension Office, 701 Seneca Street, Suite 1, Storm Lake, IA 50588.
